The Avengers – Official Trailer #2 (UM YES)

Back in college, a guy I was seeing told me his friends referred to me as the Black Widow. I was rather proud of this nickname assuming it had something to do with Marvels’s iconic superhero character. Turns out I don’t think that’s what they were talking about at all… oh well.

This is my pre work motivation. Come on Thursday, let’s do this.

Brazil’s Os Gemeos “Miss You” Exhibition @ PRISM GALLERY

When I moved to Rio de Janeiro for few months a couple of years ago, I was introduced to the art work of Os Gemeos by a colleague of mine. I was privileged enough to visit the Vertigo expo during my stay and was completely astounded by their creativity and depth. As they grow in popularity, these famous pair of brothers- or more accurately, twins, are currently being displayed at the Prism Gallery in Los Angeles. “Miss You” marks their first solo exhibition at this venue, which had its opening this past weekend. The brothers transformed the two-story gallery with a bunch of installations and signature (yellow) bold paintings and murals that covered the entire ceiling and floors.
If you’re lucky enough to be in the area, be sure to check out the exhibition. It’s scheduled to run until March 24, 2012.

RIP Davy Jones

I remember being in my aunt Mary’s basement playing on the Atari with my sister when I first heard the Monkees. They sure did make some catchy tunes.
